WTF doesn't even come close to describing this.

If you read the description for the video, it says the racist dude went up to the other dude and apologized and hugged him, but uh ... that's a mighty quick conversion. Could it have been a publicity stunt to get the show on the air?

Black People Love Us!

Someone ACTUALLY said the following and was 100% completely serious.

Granted, society has an impact on how we all view experiences, but each experience is self sustaining too. I'm going to give some examples of profiling that i've been a part of.

[...] went to a strip club. There was one amazing dancer and one absolute flop. The flop was a black girl that had a look on her face like, "yeah, i'm black. You should just give me your money because i'm a minority." I know many on here have seen the look i'm talking about, and I know it wasn't my imagination because the others at the table ALL thought the same thing.

Driving home from work you see many different vehicle types. The ones with the HUGE rims are always black people. The ones with the rims that stick out are always mexican. Most landscapers are mexican. Most prius drivers are white. Most truck drivers are men. Most SUV drivers are women. These are MY experiences.

I profile people every day. Most people that have a hanging lip aren't very bright (hanging lip meaning someone that likes to catch flies).

Now, for the more meaty portion of this. Profiling did get stronger after 9-11. Most people looked at anyone that could be muslim decent as a terrorist and many were treated horribly. Was it an accepted trait, absolutely. Was it right to do it, hell no. Everyone was so up in arms (if only for a short time) that their blind hate provoked most of the profiling. Why do you think the airlines had to enforce a random screening back then? Not sure how many people fly but if your ticked had an S [...] you got searched. That way, no one could say they were being profiled.

In my opinion, society has become too thin skinned in general. ABOUT EVERYTHING. If you look at someone funny, you're a racist. If you yell at your kid, you are an abuser. I think that the social problems wouldn't be what the are if people stopped crying over everything.
Bottom line, profiling will happen. It's human nature. I'm a MAJOR people watcher and i love seeing the oddities of people. It's fun to just sit somewhere and watch, but everytime i watch, i profile. I would call someone a liar that says they don't profile.

More from the same person:
minorities have less economically? You have any idea how much those rims cost and their hydraulics! lol. They have less because of spending on material items, not because they are minorities.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have a question and a clarification and an agreement (somewhat) to add:

1. What the hell is a "yeah, i'm black. You should just give me your money because i'm a minority" look? What the actual fuck is this shit? I don't even. Can someone please explain to me exactly what this look looks like. Get to it, folks. Drawings preferred.

2. I'm not even going to get into this person's idiotic system of stereotyping drivers by the kind of cars they drive. It's so fucking stupid and idiotic and OBVIOUSLY racist that it's almost funny. Almost. But but but they included the types of cars that women and men drive, so they TOTALLY weren't being racist. They were just giving a well-rounded (LOL) set of examples to prove their point.

3. A Muslim is a follower of the religion Islam. Muslim is not a race, such as Arab, which is what I think you were trying to go for. Muslims come in all races. You can't always look at a person and determine they are a Muslim by their physical characteristics.

4. I agree that society has become "too thin skinned in general." But what you call "thin skinned," I call complacent and lazy and NOT learning from history. You know what they say about not learning from history, right? I can almost 100% guarantee you that in the not too distant future we will be repeating the same goddamn mistakes we made 50 and 60 and 70 years ago IF people don't take the time to educate their damn selves instead of yelling at the top of their lungs "I'M NOT RACIST! I'M NOT RACIST! I'M NOT RACIST" and, yes, I'm specifically talking about white people here.

Humans are so fucking stupid and some, in particular, are just plain despicable beings that should have their membership to the human race revoked.

P.S. There is a HUGE ass difference between "people watching" and "profiling." So huge that the Grand Canyon could fit in the space between them.

P.S.S. Not ALL brown people are Mexican. There are many countries that Latino/Hispanic people come from. Hell, there's an entire continent of countries. It's called South America. And then there's that itty, bitty land mass called Latin America.

Please note the picture that they use to promote their social worker program. Yes! That totally makes me want to be a social worker. I've always wanted to work with demonically possessed children!

How can people be SO misinformed?

In a very recent discussion about racism, I was told the following:

"Black people don't get told, 'Oh if you were just a little lighter, you'd be really pretty.' "

Full report on the discussion to be posted later today.
